FAQ

  1. DO I NEED ZELETI?

As a Physician, I have seen the detrimental effects of elevated serum cholesterol, as is well documented in medical literature. High cholesterol is predominantly a condition that afflicts people in their 40s and the elderly. Generally, the more common type of high cholesterol can be attributed to liver cell dysfunction as we age. ZELETI is derived from the tropical rain forest plant; Tetrapleura Tetraptera.

It is the only known natural supplement in the world that has been demonstrated in the lab to protect liver cells intentionally poisoned with Fenton+ ions, (an experimental liver cell poison), from dying and its cholesterol-lowering properties are believed to be from healthy liver cell promotion.

ZELETI is a general health promotion supplement for everyone, especially people who have high serum cholesterol and are unable to tolerate prescription cholesterol-lowering medications or are unwilling to take artificial chemicals for various reasons. ZELETI is a wholly natural, 100% organic alternative dietary supplement that with diet and exercise, can significantly promote liver health and the lowering of serum cholesterol with all the attendant beneficial effects. ZELETI was originally available only as teabags, but we have strived and produced an equally effective capsule form.

  1. HOW DO I TAKE ZELETI CAPSULES?

                Liver Health Promotion

Take 2 Capsules Daily.

 Healthy Cholesterol Promotion

Take 2 Capsules Daily.

This is enough to lower the cholesterol in most people, but if the blood test does not show adequate cholesterol reduction after 3 months, the dose can be increased to:

2 Capsules 2 Times Daily.

 Each bottle has 120 capsules.

  1. AFTER HOW LONG WILL I SEE A CHANGE IN MY BLOOD CHOLESTEROL?

If you do not already know your cholesterol level or have a recent test, have a lab cholesterol test done and note down your serum cholesterol number.  The cholesterol-lowering effect of ZELETI will begin to show in about 4 weeks, with full effect in 3 months. A healthy diet choice is also advised. Eating a dozen eggs a week or several pounds of red meat will negate some of the cholesterol-lowering of ZELETI.

A couple of people who think they have “resistant” cholesterol reported improved results with 2 servings a day but for nearly everyone the 1 serving a day is all that is needed.

  1. HOW SAFE IS ZELETI?

This herb is regularly added by the indigenous people to the family food and has been consumed by the whole family including the nursing mothers, all the children and adults for generations. No untoward effects have been reported.

No human being to date has been recorded to be allergic to the ZELETI plant, though this could be expected with widespread use.  If you notice any allergic reaction like rashes, hives, skin itching or swelling of the face or tongue while taking ZELETI, call your Emergency Medical Service immediately.

The herb has also been reviewed by the USA FDA and approved as a New Dietary Ingredient (NDI).

OTHER POTENTIAL BENEFITS

Other preparations of this plant are used by the indigenous people for the natural promotion of healthy blood pressure and ZELETI retains this property. Though this could be a desirable effect in some people, everyone is advised to check their blood pressure regularly as some people on ZELETI may not need the full dose of the blood pressure medicine they are taking after several weeks of starting ZELETI.

Some people have also reported a gradual reduction in their liver enzymes levels on blood tests while taking ZELETI. This has not yet been scientifically studied on a large scale. The liver enzymes, AST and ALT levels reflect the total liver cell deaths or turnover in the body at any given time. The higher the level, generally means, more liver cells in the body are dying. It is notable, as alluded to earlier on, that a scientific study showed that liver cells treated with the extract of this plant did not die when challenged with Fenton+ ions, (a potent liver toxin) while the untreated liver cells died. The clinical relevance of this, for all people, is not clear at this time and is under study. But it is plausible the mechanism of action of this medicinal herb could be the promotion of a healthy liver function in the body. I have personally observed on my life insurance lab test results that my liver enzymes including the GGT, which is usually high in people who consume alcohol regularly, are quite low and I have been taking ZELETI for some time now.

I also have to make this revelation. My doctor ordered a routine abdominal ultrasound during my annual medical checkup about 5 years ago and the radiologist reported I had fatty liver. That was before I started taking ZELETI regularly. 2 years ago, I had another abdominal ultrasound, and the radiologist did not report any fatty liver. I did not make much of it until this year when a relative who is also taking ZELETI regularly, told me his fatty liver previously noted on an abdominal ultrasound was no longer present on a subsequent abdominal ultrasound. He even had a CAT scan of the abdomen and chest which revealed no fatty liver.

ZELETI is not being marketed as a treatment or cure for any disease or condition, but herbal medications were developed over the ages by observations and oral traditions. If you notice anything like what I have experienced, it is very important that you make us aware so we can document our collective observations.

  1. ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS OR DRUG INTERRACTIONS OF ZELETI?

No drug interaction has ever been reported to date and no known side effects have been reported.

The herb is regularly added as a spice to the family pot of soup; just like peppers, thyme, oregano, onion, cloves, and other spices, and it is not known to have any interaction with any medications.

  1. DOES ZELETI LEAVE A FOUL BODY ODOR LIKE GARLIC?

No. ZELETI does not leave a body odor or foul breath.

The original product is still available as teabags. The extract of the ZELETI plant has a strong aromatic scent but the liquid has very little taste. The sweet aromatic scent is the main reason most of the indigenous people use it as food spice but to others, this could need a little getting used to. The taste of the teabags is not too different from some of the heavily flavored coffees in the high-end coffee shops. Numerous methods of trying to distill or manipulate the extract to remove the aromatic scent have been tried but have always resulted in a significant reduction in potency. People are saying, “Don’t tamper with nature. Leave it as it is, that is how God made it”. It is therefore with great happiness that we have succeeded in producing the capsule, with equal effectiveness for people who would prefer the capsules. Taste is therefore no longer an issue for people who chose the capsule form.

  1. WHAT IF I MISS A DOSE OF ZELETI?

Missing a dose now and then if not too frequently will not significantly impact the healthy liver and healthy cholesterol promoting effect of ZELETI.

  1. I AM ON A RESCRIPTION CHOLESTEROL MEDICATION. CAN I STILL TAKE ZELETI?

             Yes.

People on prescription cholesterol medications with suboptimal cholesterol usually notice a dramatic drop in the serum cholesterol when they add ZELETI. One person reported: “My Doctor said: “Your cholesterol medicine is working too much. You now need to take it only 3 times a week!” She left the doctor’s office with a big smile on her face.

From my experience as a doctor, apart from those who have real allergic reactions to the cholesterol medications, the manifestation of the side effects of the cholesterol medications such as muscle pain, and elevated serum CPK, worsen with increasing dosage as the doctors try upping the dose of the cholesterol medication to bring down the high cholesterol. These people do not have real allergies to cholesterol medications but are intolerant of the high dosage. Doctors often manage this by reducing the dose of the cholesterol medication down to a tolerable dosage, but the patients could remain with sub-optimal cholesterol levels. These people it appears could benefit by taking the barest minimum dose of the prescription cholesterol medication and adding ZELETI to achieve a low cholesterol level. Many people all over the world have been taking the statin drugs together with ZELETI for many years with no ill effects.

  1. WHEN SHOULD I NOT TAKE THIS HERBAL SUPPLEMENT?

Do not take ZELETI if your doctor has advised you not to take any herbal medications, otherwise, everyone can take ZELETI.

ZELETI is not known to interact with any medication. No human being is currently known to be allergic to this peculiar tamarind tree species found growing only in the deep tropical rainforests. This peculiar plant cannot be grown on plantations by humans like cacao or coffee trees. They all wither and die after a few years if not left alone in their natural environment in the jungle. The indigenous people have to trek over large tracts of forest to find it. Therefore, no large stockpiles of this forest product exist, and the supply is rather limited.
